Since they are our marquee non-conference game next year, they lost to Georgia in the Taxslayer bowl just now. Christian Hackenberg left the game in the 2nd Quarter with an injury. With the rumors he is leaving for the NFL draft, his back up (Trace McSorley) played the rest of the game. He will be a redshirt sophmore next year and brought PSU back within one touchdown at the end the end of the game.
McSorely is a dual threat so he has some running ability and is the favorite to be their QB next year if Hackenberg leaves. His profile says he is 6 foot and around 200 pounds.
I am not sure about how many other guys they have coming back but it looks likely they will be replacing 3 starting defensive lineman with Nassib and Zettel graduating and Austin Johnson likely declaring for the draft.
