I realize I’m in the minority about our current/soon to be former offensive coordinator, but I like the guy.
Did he do some unorthodox crap? Yes. But overall, I like the guy. He’s creative and knows how to move the ball up and down the field. Plus, he obviously transformed _ along with the help of Adam DiMichele _ Anthony Russo’s mechanics. And that turned out well.
If Patenaude leaves after the bowl game and heads to Ga. Tech, I’ll understand. If he has a good deal with Collins already, that’s great.
But I wouldn’t be adverse at all to Patenaude sticking on Diaz’ staff. I think the guy is a mad scientist type, and I loved how we were able to shoot it out with UCF, USF and Houston, and play tough against Cincy and all the other AAC programs this season.
You have to give Patenaude _ and ADM, too _ credit for mentoring Russo, who has turned out to be a stud.
Whatever happens, I’m not a Patenaude basher like many on the board. I respect everyone’s opinion about the guy. I just happen to be a fan of the guy.
