I think this year in Temple Athletics is a great microcosm on how big time athletics work. First, parking in Lot K for the football games really shocked the general fan base into the need for giving and how the days of just strolling up might change down the road.

Now, it seems that many of the general Temple fans who haven't given in the past and ordered tickets for Friday may be turned away. I'm hearing upwards of 100 ticket orders will be turned away based on Temple's allotment versus people who placed an order. The priority points system is finally coming into use. I'm probably preaching to the choir here because most people who are willing to subscribe to OwlScoop are also donors. It's more geared to the crybabies I've seen on other sites who want everything given to them without giving in return.

BIG TIME COLLEGE ATHLETICS!
