Obi received an invite to the annual Portsmouth Invitational, known, as most of you know, as a show case for 2nd round NBA draft prospects. Kudos to Obi for receiving the opportunity.
Playing for K & D Rounds, one of the two teams that played in the finals, Obi was 6 - 12 from the field (0 - 4 from 3 point land), 0 - 1 from the line, with 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 turnover, 1 blocked shot and 1 steal in 28 minutes with his team losing to Sales Systems LTD by 1, 91 - 90.
Though blanked in 3's, that was by far his best game. In the 1st 2, he was a combined 2 for 12 from the field, including 1 - 8 in 3-point attempts (1 - 12 overall).
Still, he's getting NBA looks, with a pre-draft workout coming up on Tuesday with the Lakers. Good luck to Obi with that!
