After extending an offer a little less than a week ago, several sources I've spoken with have said Temple is very much in the mix for St. Benedict's guard David Beatty, who is ranked at No. 126 by Rivals in the 2017 class.
Although Beatty plays at St. Benedict's, his family lives about 10 or 11 blocks from Temple's campus in North Philadelphia. He's been described to me as more of a shooting guard who plays with the ball in his hands a lot, but he's often considered a point guard.
