The 2016/2017 Temple Owls may be inexperienced but have as much talent 1-4 as any team Dunphy has ever coached. There is currently a glaring hole at the center position which is a result of missing on almost all Big prospects the past few years. I'm going to call it 'The Curse of Daniel Ochefu.' It is critical that Aflkapui and/or Moore can develop throughout conference play into a dependable 5 before the post-season.
This team is set up nicely for the next few seasons but the staff needs to explore all possible options (transfer, JUCO, International) to add the missing piece to this roster. Dunphy's first class consisted of Lavoy Allen, Mike Eric and he inherited Sergio Olmos. Ever since those guys graduated, he has forced PFs like Jaylen Bond to play out of position which ultimately doomed those teams in the post-season.
