I can relate to Josh's ankle because I once ruptured my own Achilles tendon. It took several (3-4) months to get back to the point of running again, but the big problem I had was getting the strength back. To this day, about 10 years later I still don't have it, in spite of regularly executing the special exercises that the physical therapist gave me. When I had the injury, I became aware of professional athletes in a number of sports who also ruptured an Achilles tendon and observed that most of them were never the same again. The problem is getting a good push off the previously injured foot.
There was a play in the first half when Josh went up for a layup in a bit of traffic and missed it. His push-off looked a little wobbly to me, and I am concerned. He might be better off waiting until next year when he should have a stronger ankle. Of course Josh is much younger than I was when I had the injury so he may recover better and more quickly than I did.
