Great job John on your article about the team after three games.

As I was driving home from the game, I literally thought to myself, "I wonder if JDC will write his State of the Team after three games story."

I think you're right on the mark. New coach, new coordinators, new culture, lost a lot of talent to graduation (and the NFL), etc.

The one thing that jumps out at me is that Anthony Russo seems to be an afterthought. During Patenaude's interview after the UMass game, he said, and I'm paraphrasing: "I would have no problem putting Frank Nutile in the game. And I feel the same way about Todd Centeio."

No mention of Russo. And his teammates never mention him either. It's only Centeio and Marchi.

I don't want to put you on the spot, and I know it's probably a sensitive issue, but in your opinion, will Russo ever take a snap at Temple? With Trad Beatty and Centeio seemingly the future and Marchi only a RS sophomore (and Nutile having one more year of eligibility, unless he graduates with his class and is done after this season), can you see Russo transferring after this season, or is it too early to speculate? I really like the kid's ability, but obviously the coaches know more than me, and it seems like he's the odd man out.

Do you have any insight about Russo's future and how the coaches feel about him?
