I know I'm stating the obvious, but I thought the defense was great vs. USF, particularly Delvon Randall, Stephaun Marshall, Averee Robinson, Praise Martin-Oguike, Haason Reddick, Romond Deloatch, Jarred Alwan and Avery Ellis.
Randall had 7 tackles (6 solo), broke up a pass, had a TFL and had the interception. Marshall had 8 tackles (7 solo) and a TFL, Robinson had 2 sacks and 5 solo tackles, Martin-Oguike had 2 1/2 TFL, a sack and the blocked extra point, Reddick had 1 1/2 TFL, Deloatch had the sack in the end zone for a safety, Alwan had 1 1/2 TFL, and Ellis blocked the punt late in the third quarter with Temple up 27-23, and three plays later, Jahad scored to make it 34-23. Dogbe also had a 1/2 TFL.
Just a great effort by the D. Especially in the second half, when the DLine was relentless in its pursuit of Flowers. Elijah Robinson must have lit a fire under the DLinemen at halftime, because they seemed to be on a mission in the second half.
