Temple hosted its first high school camp of the summer Sunday at Chodoff Field. The Owls were the first Division I school to host a camp this summer.
Shortly after the conclusion of camp, Geoff Collins extended scholarship offers to the following prospects:
-2018 Timber Creek (N.J.) athlete Deion Jennings, the younger brother of Temple wide receiver Adonis Jennings
-2018 DePaul Catholic (N.J.) lineman Khris Banks, who holds offers from the likes of Buffalo, UCF, Central Michigan, among others.
-2019 West Bloomfield (Pa.) athlete Lance Dixon
-2018 Donovan Catholic (N.J.) longsnapper/center J.P. Hadley, who held no offers entering the day.
-2019 Germantown Academy (Pa.) lineman Elijah Wroten. The Owls were the first school to offer Wroten.
-2018 Simon Gratz (Pa.) defensive back Amir Gillis.
-2018 Friendship Collegiate Academy High School (Md.) defensive back/receiver Chauncey Moore, who also holds offers from Wake Forest, Navy, Army, among others. Defensive backs coach Cory Robinson talked with Moore before he left after the morning session of camp. In the 2017 recruiting class, Robinson led the way in the recruitment of Christian Braswell, who also attended Friendship with Moore.
More offers are likely to be extended by the Temple staff. Some other standouts from Sunday's camp include R.J. Oben, a 6-foot-4, 230-pound defensive end from Saint Peter's Prep in North Jersey. Oben already holds offers from Louisville, Syracuse and Virginia. Matthew Thomas, a defensive end from Midwood High School in Brooklyn, also turned heads. Thomas entered the day with a Temple offer, along with tenders from Rutgers and FCS programs. DaeJuan Sanders, a 2018 running back from Highland Regional in Jersey, impressed as well. Sanders holds an offer from Connecticut. And Paul Woods, a receiver from Canisius in upstate New York, clocked a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash. Woods announced a top three of Temple, Rutgers and Buffalo earlier this month, while he also plans to camp at Ohio State this summer.
Two other Temple legacies attended Collins' camp Sunday:
-Evan Boozer, a 2018 defensive lineman from Loyola Blakefield (Md.) and the younger brother of Temple offensive tackle/tight end Cole Boozer.
-Andrew Sharga, a 2020 athlete from Redland High School in Lewisberry, Pa.
