Figured it would be interesting to to pass along the status of some former Temple commits as they head into the Week 1 games. For this list, I'm only focusing on players that decommitted before actually getting to Temple, not players that ended up at Temple and then transferred. I'm also going off of memory for decommits so if I left any out, let me know.
Lot of talent in those Class of 2017 decommits, some of which came before Rhule's departure.
Class of 2018
Christan Barmore - Not on Alabama's depth chart as a freshman.
Rondell Bothroyd - Not on Wake's 2-deep as a freshman.
Kyle Wright - Couldn't find a depth chart for UNC but Wright has a chance to play as a true freshman at LB.
Jayde Pierre - Couldn't find a depth chart for Howard but Pierre is on the roster as a 6-1, 330-pound freshman.
Bo Alexander - Houston doesn't release a depth chart for Week 1 but Alexander was projected to be the backup LT entering camp.
Class of 2017
Kenny Pickett - Pitt's starting QB as a sophomore.
Raheem Blackshear - Rutgers' starting RB as a sophomore.
Tyler Sear - Pitt's starting TE as a sophomore.
Gary Brightwell- Haven't seen an actual depth chart but should be Arizona's starter or backup at RB as a sophomore.
Ja'Sir Taylor - Backup cornerback at Wake as a sophomore.
Rob Saulin - Listed as a second string DT for Baylor as a redshirt-freshman. He's up to 280, apparently.
Rob King - Not on UConn's depth chart as a redshirt-freshman DB.
Justin Brown - Not on Monmouth's depth chart as a sophomore.
Class of 2016
Dae'Lun Darien - Third String OLB at Penn State as a redshirt sophomore. Committed to Temple as a WR before flipping to Penn State.
Jahsen Wint - Second string Safety at Ohio State as a redshirt sophomore. Should see some playing time.
Montel Aaron - In a 3-way tie for starting QB at San Jose State as a redshirt sophomore. Started eight games last year.
Class of 2015
Adrienne Talan - Third String LB at UAB as a redshirt junior. Flipped from Temple to Oregon State and then from Oregon State to Nebraska. Went from Nebraska to JUCO before ending up at UAB.
