Save Temple Basketball. What does this have to do with basketball?
I got a call on Friday to renew my FB season tickets. My response was, I am not renewing as long as Fran Dunphy is coaching the Basketball team. They understood.
Given we have heard nothing official on the fate of our beloved BB program. If you are a dual season ticket holder, Or just care about Basketball, I would encourage you to at least pause on your renewal and tell them it’s because of Fran. Maybe we can push this over the hump, maybe not. I understand some of you may not connect the two, but it’s the only leverage I feel I have, so I am using it.
Even if you don’t feel as strongly as I do. I was a founding member of tailgate row and personally I will not but football season tickets until Fran is officially gone. My plea to all...at minimum Put them on pause, unfortunately (or fortunately) your seats aren’t going anywhere.
And before anyone tells me it’s not a good idea, if all FB season ticket holders that also cared about basketball would not renew because of Fran. Someone would listen.
