A friend of mine (who will probably be reading this in a few minutes) suggested yesterday afternoon that he figured we were IN the dance, and that the committee would gift FD with slightly higher seed for his retirement present.... like maybe a 10.
Turns out he was right, sort of...

How else do you give someone a chance to play an 11 Seed in the Tournament? ... a chance to get a tournament win.
