I am trying to be optimistic but as Feb 1 draws closer there does not seem to be reasons for my optimism.We really have no reason to believe in Collins as a recruiter. Granted he started wearing handcuffs with Rhule and leading recruiters leaving at a cruicial time.I want to believe in him; his pedigree as a coach is very solid and he has enthusiasm and energy; the program and the city should help, but the news and our current ranking is of concern.While the fat lady seems to be tuning up, she has until next week to sing . I read the web site every few hours hopimg for better news than Matt,s current update. While it is very thorough it doesn.t warm my heart as it feels like we are going backwards trying to hold onto recruits who we should not be worrying about and not bringing in linemen and higher ranked prospects that have some buzz.
