There are several key differences this time around in the coaching search etc.

1.) Our assistants seem to be staying on to coach through the bowl game, this is due to Georgia Tech being bowl eligible so therefore the staff will still be intact for our bowl game.

2.) There is an early signing period, the early signing period is now in effect and many players can sign their letters of intent as of 12/19. This is a critical difference when Rhule left there was no early signing period. Schools can only dish out so many visits between now and the early signing period, many of these kids want to sign with schools as soon as possible to lock in their futures. Obviously some may follow the coach but I suspect many others are exited to play for the university and end their recruiting process.

3.) The institution that Collins is going to versus the one Rhule went to has stricter academic requirements to get into the university and since there is an previously mentioned early signing period, there may be a lot of confusion as to what can happen.

Hopefully these three factors can help soften the blow of the coaches departure on the recruiting class and the bowl game.
