Listening to Coach Rhule talk about the DBs, it makes me realize the defensive backfield will be a strong area for the Owls.
You have Sean Chandler, Nate Hairston, Artrel Foster, Kareem Ali, Cequan Jefferson and Derrek Thomas at CB, and Delvon Randall, Khiry Lucas, Nate L. Smith, Jyquis Thomas and Jeramiah Atoki at safety. Plus some of the walk-ons, like Kyle Baum, who from his high school days reminds me of Kevin Kroboth and Justin Gildea, are available. Then throw in the incoming freshmen, like Linwood Crump, Amir Tyler, Kimere Brown, Keyvone Bruton, Kareem Gaulden, Isaiah Graham-Mobley, Sam Franklin, and Benny Walls and you have some serious depth there. Of course, some of the incoming freshmen could be LBs after they hit the weightroom or they could be moved to offense, but there is some talent at defensive back.
