Coach Arians was interviewed this week by AL.com. The story starts out asking him about Bear Bryant's comments to him when he took the Temple coaching job. Coach Arians quickly moves on to what he learned from Coach Chaney. But the story ends with the following:
“The Temple days are still my fondest memories,” Arians said. “Beating Pitt (in 1984) is the No. 1 win in my career. When we beat Pitt for the first time in 45 years, it ranks above the Super Bowl trophies I have in my house.”
