Rod Carey continues to fill out his staff and has made the following hires for off-the-field positions. None of these hires have been announced yet so it's possible that their titles could change but this is what the current Cherry and White directory reflects.
Director of Player Development: Daniel Sabock. Sabock was one of NIU's 10 on-field assistants last season and coached the special teams. He'll be off the field at Temple as Director of Player Development, a role that wasn't technically filled under Geoff Collins and was last held by Adam DiMichele in 2016. DiMichele, coincidentally enough, will return to an undetermined off-field role.
Prior to NIU, Sabock coached at Florida Tech, Indiana State and Rutgers.
Video Coordinator: Blake Yunker. Yunker was previously a GA at Northern Illinois and replaces Kyle Lane, who appears to be headed to Mississippi State.
Director of Football Operations: Aaron Christner. Christner has spent the last five years in an Ops role under Carey at NIU and replaces Scott Wallace, who went to Georgia Tech.
