Temple kicker Aaron Boumerhi announced via Twitter that he will be transferring out of the program "due to circumstances out of (his) hands."

The Owls recently received a commitment from JUCO punter Adam Barry, while JUCO offensive lineman Joseph Hooper signed earlier this afternoon.

As a true freshman in 2016, Boumerhi replaced Austin Jones, who suffered a torn ACL midway through the season, and made 15 of his 17 field goal attempts. He was later put on scholarship for the 2017 season.

Boumerhi, who was not able to kick thus far during spring practice, underwent hip surgery this past fall after he appeared in Temple's first two games. He made only one of his three field goal attempts, while Will Mobley finished out the season as the starting placekicker.
