Temple is recruiting former Michigan State cornerback Davion Williams out of the transfer portal, per a source familiar with his recruitment.
Williams has played sparingly in his first three seasons at Michigan State. He saw a few snaps as a true freshman in 2018 and was able to redshirt, had two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble in 2019 and posted eight tackles in seven games this past season. He was a teammate of both M.J. Griffin and D'Wan Mathis when they all played at Belleville High School at one point.
Williams is a former basketball player turned football player. The scouting report I received is that he's a very good athlete who could turn the corner with continued coaching and technical development.
I'm not sure if a Temple commitment is imminent, but the Owls are in the mix.
