With Frank Nutile starting at quarterback, redshrit freshman Anthony Russo is backing up Nutile Thursday should anything happen. Logan Marchi could go in if there were an emergency, Geoff Collins said. Otherwise, Russo would see the field and has continued to get more reps. Marchi will continue to be the holder on field goals and extra points.

As you probably saw by now, redshirt freshman defensive lineman Dan Archibong will wear No. 1. He has 11 total tackles and two pass break-ups this season. Collins recognized him for being a great student as well.

"I don't know if he's gotten a B since he's been in college," Collins said.

When asked if having Army and Navy in consecutive games helped Temple, Collins said it's "twofold," but I think he meant to say it can be a good and bad thing. On one hand, yes, Temple gets experience the game prior with triple-option looks. But on the other hand, Navy gets to see what looks Temple gave Army in its last game, which, Collins said, is like giving Navy the answers to the test. So the Owls, he said, will have to come up with some new wrinkles on defense.

Collins said he's also hoping to have Matt Hennessy back at center this week.

Matt will have a full report later today.
