The Scoop - Mailbag questions

We're taking mailbag questions for this week's podcast up until 4 p.m. today. We'll talk about last night's win, the impact of Khalif Battle's season-ending injury and more, in addition to the football coaching search.

And if you haven't already, please subscribe, rate and review on Apple Podcasts or wherever you access your podcasts. Last week's episode had the most traffic of any episode over the last two years, so we certainly appreciate your support!

The Scoop - mailbag questions

Send 'em in if you've got 'em. We'll have plenty to talk about - the coaching search, of course, recruiting, anything off-topic.

Please send them in by 4 p.m. We look forward to hearing from you.

Michael Dogbe on Elijah Robinson

In addition to The Scoop with our OwlScoop.com staff, I also produce a podcast with Adam DiMichele in the Bleave Podcast network called the Bleav In Temple football podcast.

Adam and I had Michael Dogbe as our guest Friday. In addition to asking him about life in the NFL, we asked him about his relationship with Texas A&M defensive coordinator Elijah Robinson and why Mike thinks he would make a good head coach at Temple.

You can listen to the episode here.

Local Scoops from National Sports Media

National media figures like Brett McMurphy and Thamel are frequently the first to report (accurately) coaching hires, conference realignment news, and other scoops that I would expect to come from local media with close, familiar ties to the schools. How and why do these guys consistently acquire breaking news from across the nation, often to the surprise of local beat writers? JDC or others - does anyone have insight into how this goes down?

An uphill Battle for Temple

Some good stuff from @Sam Cohn on Khalif Battle's contributions and how Temple plans to move forward without him.

Also, keep an eye on Sam and Bella DiAmore's Twitter later today for some scoop about the starting lineup.
