Yes, only 4,000 fans attended the game. But, let me tell you, the place was rocking. The student section represented. I still believe that we ought to attract more than 1,000 students to a game, but they were loud and were having fun. The pep band was terrific. Tare video screen games, etc, were really good. And everyone cheered and was fully engaged - unlike the usual hand sitting crowds I have grown used to. I got the feeling that a fan base is being created at Temple.

Naseir Upshur, tight end at Imhotep and one of the top recruits in the nation, holds an offer from Temple. He also holds an offer from basically every other school in the country. Here's an interesting article on how Michigan is recruiting him.... through his girlfriend.

Per Fran Dunphy on WHIP radio - we are playing at Wisky next year. Not sure if that was reported earlier. Also - as we already knew - we are playing NC in what sounds like should be the first game next season.

I figured a centralized thread would be a good thing to have updates and/or discussion on the topic of who the staff is targeting to fill the remaining open scholarships for the 2015 class. I believe the number is two, but could change if any players transfer out.

Any information out there that anyone can share?

Starts in earnest on Monday 3/23! The competition and learning begins anew for both upper classmen, grayshirts, redshirts, transfers and walkons for starting positions! All of the off season conditioning will hopefully prevent injury as it is designed to and all of the practices and scrimmaging over the next 4 odd weeks culminates with the Spring game on Cherry and White Day at E-O! C & W Day also happens to be Junior Day for the 2016 recruits to come out and see our Owls, the facilities at E-O, meet the coaching staff and fans!!

Does any one have any on DVD? I'm willing to trade some of mine if you don't have copies. I have our win over MSU, wins over FLA and PSU in 2001, as well as some others from the jones/mckie era.

Looks like Louisiana Tech is taking care of Texas A&M.

I am reading that Herb Sendek, who was fired by Arizona State today, ad contract extensions through 2019. The extensions were loaded with stipulations that seemed to make the buyout much less expensive, and made it feasible for Arizona State to now try and hire Jeff Capel from Duke.
Does anybody know if Dunphy's 2 extensions have any similar stipulations that would make a buyout more palatable/affordable?

I dont know how many of you remember holton.He picked uri over us and had a good freshman year.Then he got thrown out of school for doing something stupid over internet.Well he now starts on west va sweet 16 team.Ithink he has played there the last 2 years.I can't remember exactly what he did but at the time was a major recruiting loss for us..He had 12 pts and played 29 minutes against md.We still need to recruit a big body power forward.

If we can get by & end playing in NY, who would be better, Tulsa, who we can't seem to beat, would Murry State be a better match for our Owls?

They have all the leverage over the NCAA and there is too much at stake. Sorry to beat a dead horse but I did not realize that the money was distributed this way.

For the second consecutive year the BE is not having a very good tournament.

He sounds really intense. I hope he can get a lot out of the WR crew.

Thankfully, his father is a prominent attorney and (I believe, former prosecutor. Cool Owl, please confirm) in Baltimore. Hopefully, more info will arrive.
