New proposed rule expected to be approved by NCAA board later this month will allow immediate eligibility to every student athlete entering the portal in the 2023-2024 school year. Will apply every time they transfer.

It has been reported that an aggressive recruitment program has generated 39,681 applications for 2024. This is a record number of applications. Campus visits jumped 60% while attendance at accepted students programs has increased by 70%. Both international, out of state and Philadelphia resident applications are at record numbers along with those for graduate programs. Reasons for these increases beyond the aggressive recruitment program are the number of new programs in the medical and stem areas, financial assistance plans and the campus itself.

So I guess those who predicted Temple University is in trouble are wrong.

I like this quote from Tra Thomas after the spring game on his and the overall dline mindset. "Coming to practice every day 100% and playing hard,” Thomas said. “No days off, even when we’re in indy (individual drills) and doing all those drills as a unit, we’re going full speed showing the guys that this is how we work. We take no plays off, no slowing down and no breaks. So that's the main thing, just leading by example.”

I was hoping Temple would consider him for AD hopefully in the near future.

I just received my invoice for the 24-25 season and the tickets prices have been reduced and the required donation has been reduced by 50%. I not sure how many seats are available but if you were ever thinking about getting courtside seats this is the time to make the move. You also receive access to the courtside club for food and drinks before and during the game.

Walker, Dawkins, Reddick all started yesterday. Not sure if anyone else did. Does anyone know if during the beginning of the game they introduced themselves and said they were from Temple.

I saw that Dawkins didn't. At a time when the program needs support, NIL and positive press...if they are not identifying as from Temple it is a lost opportunity.

I know Dawkins has supported north Philly with a food drive and Reddick has talked about his story. Those guys all seem like good dudes and make great ambassadors for the program.
